ADMISSION POLICY
Purpose of This Document
Academic Policies and Procedures are good guidelines to assist students to move more conveniently through administrative and academic functionalities. ISEH provides an enabling environment and a unique culture for learning through fostering a diverse learning community. This enhances our students’ skills of critical reasoning, teamwork and communication, thus preparing them for successful participation in their chosen careers and roles. Simultaneously, ISEH ensures strict adherence to the Code of Conduct by taking stern action against violations. This document sets out ISEH’s Admission Policy, describes the principles and processes followed by the institution to select and admit new students. This Policy has been considered and approved by ISEH’s Admission Policies Committee and it is reviewed annually. Every student of ISEH, must agree to observe and honor the Code of Ethics and also conform to all laws; federal, provisional and local etc.
Fundamentals
All applications must be submitted physically to ISEH on or before the stipulated deadline. Late applications will not be considered for admission.
All information submitted should be supported by provision of copies of relevant documents (non-returnable), otherwise that will be considered invalid.
All applications submitted to ISEH, regardless of citizenship, are held to the same admission standards and evaluated on the same criteria.
ISEH reserves the right to select candidates for its courses and decisions taken by the institute shall be considered final.
Applicants with disabilities can request reasonable facilities during the admissions process, however, the requests must be supported by documentary evidence; further details can be obtained from the Admissions Office.
Applicants should be aware, that presenting incorrect/ false/ forged/ fraudulent information or document(s) to ISEH, in connection with admissions, internships, scholarships and financial aid etc is a criminal offence and the institution reserves the right to initiate appropriate disciplinary or legal action against the applicant
It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to provide complete, correct, and timely information to ISEH, otherwise, that will not be considered for processing.
ISEH reserves the right to change dates and deadlines for its course and events. Please, keep updated of any changes by visiting www.iseh.edu.pk periodically.
General
To enroll, participants being fully vaccinated is obligatory, conversely admission will not be granted (Copy of vaccination certificate be attached with Admission Form while submitting at ISEH).
ISEH has a zero tolerance for any form of aggressive behavior such as harassment, stalking or teasing and consequentially can result in strict disciplinary action against the defaulter.
Participants will be charged in case of damage to any ISEH property.
Participants are allowed on campus only for half an hour before and after the class, unless granted special permission by ISEH Administration. Overstaying or attempting to enter ISEH at another time without prior permission will result in strict disciplinary action.
Vehicles (cars, motorcycles etc.) are allowed to be parked on the service road but at your own risk, ISEH shall not be responsible for any mishap.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the building, however, is allowed only in open areas/ designated spaces. Violations will result in fines and other disciplinary action.
Assessment, Selection and Admission
Registration and Admission to ISEH, for any academic activity, is a first come first serve process but subject to attaining minimum laid down registration/ admission criteria by the institution.
In case the the candidate is qualified for a course but no vacancy exists in current batch, then the candidate will be placed in the waiting list and shall be adjusted in any of the upcoming batches. However, the candidate can get his seat reserved in the immediate next batch by paying 25% of the course fee in advance.
In the interests of fairness and transparency, all applications are assessed according to the relevant criteria for the course applied for, by designated staff of the institution.
In order to assess the application against the relevant criteria, the assessment will include an assessment test to ascertain theoretical knowledge followed by an interview to verify the candidate’s background knowledge and acceptable English proficiency.
ISEH reserves the right to grant or deny admission to its courses.
Discounts
The following discounts are offered:
5% Early bird discount.
2-5 participants group get 10% off for each candidate.
5-10 participants group get 15% off for each candidate.
More than 10 participants group get 20% off for each candidate.
15% off for the ISEH community i.e. ISEH alumni.
10% off for the ISEH community members’ immediate family i.e. spouses and children.
25% discount to candidates of Pakistan Govt. organizations (Verifiable employment evidence and NOC required)
50% discount to current administrative staff.
Refunds
Refunds are only given if a course is cancelled by the ISEH institute.
Registration Fee is non-refundable.
Course Fee is non-refundable in case of a disciplinary issue.
50% of the paid Course Fee shall be refundable in case the dropout is within the first week of the course.
In case the drop out occurs within second week of the course commencement only 25% of the paid Course Fee shall be refundable.
No refund will be admissible if the candidate leaves the course after second week of course commencement.
In case a refund is applicable, the student has to claim that within 20 days of the course commencement date, after which the refund cannot be claimed.
Candidates are required to undertake due diligence regarding the course selection. Once admission fee has been paid candidates cannot switch the course or batch.
ISEH reserves the right to make the final decision on refunds and course swaps.
Attendance
At least 90% attendance is required to receive certificate of completion.
In case of sickness, medical certificate from authorised doctor registered with PMC has to be submitted to ISEH administration.
Attendance will be allowed during the first five minutes of every class; anyone late shall be marked absent.
Participants leaving early from the class will be marked absent.
Marking proxy attendance is deceiving and strictly prohibited. It is considered a serious violation of ISEH policies and shall be liable to strict disciplinary action.
Any exceptional issue regarding attendance shall be addressed to Director Planning & Coordination for favourable action.
Certificate of completion must be collected within a month of course completion.
ISEH will not be responsible for damaged or lost certificates after the aforementioned deadline.
ISEH reserves the right of not awarding a certificate if the course criterion or attendance is not satisfactorily met.
In case of name change/ reprint of certificate evidence based rationale has to be presented and PKR 1000/- will be charged for issuance of new certificate.
Data Protection
ISEH complies with the provisions of General Data Protection Act. As such, the ISEH will not disclose any details regarding an individual’s application without the applicant’s permission to a third-party including family members of the applicant. However, the information may be revealed if law demands or for legal requirement by the competent/ legal authority.
English Language Proficiency
All courses at ISEH are mostly delivered in the English medium or major part is in English, therefore, the institution requires successful candidates to demonstrate considerable ability to understand and to express themselves in English (including reading, writing, speaking and listening).
Smart Card/ Institutional Card
In case of damage to or loss of smart card. PKR 1000/- will be charged and a new smart card will be issued to the candidate.
Misuse of the smart-card/ institutional card on and off-campus or facilitating unauthorised access to outsiders to enter the campus will be a breach of ISEH policy and can result in strict disciplinary action against the defaulter.
Participants are required to return the smart-card/ institutional card in the last class of the course or end of tenure. Failure to do so can result in non-issuance of certificate or disciplinary action.
In case of lost or stolen card, participant should immediately intimate the ISEH Administration with details in person as well as intimation through email at : info@iseh.edu.pk
Applicants with a Disability/ Additional Support Needs
ISEH welcomes applications from candidates with a disability or additional support needs. Such applicants will be considered against the same criteria as all other candidates.
If a candidate with a disability or additional support needs is deemed eligible for an offered course, administration staff will discuss the matter with the candidate and get approval of the additional support the applicant is likely to require during the course.
Since, it may not be always possible to implement reasonable adjustments for the required support in every case; therefore, prior approval by the competent authority of ISEH is mandatory.
ISEH reserves the right of not approving support/ adjustments in case they fall beyond the capability of the institution.
Applicant with a Criminal Record
We believe everyone with the potential and ambition to study at ISEH should have the opportunity to do so, regardless of the background. People with criminal convictions often face obstacles and barriers while accessing admissions in academic institutions, yet education has the power to transform their lives by helping them move forward and make a positive contribution to the society. Therefore, the leaders of ISEH have pledged to give an applicant with a criminal record a fair chance:
Having a criminal record does not prevent an individual from applying to study at ISEH, however, it will be necessary for the candidate to declare such information during admission process.
The applicants with criminal record will be offered a chance to discuss their case in person with ISEH administration before a decision is made.
The approval for such admission will be granted by the panel of senior administration of ISEH.
ISEH reserves the right of not approving the admission of any applicant with a criminal record.
Consideration of Occupational Health Assessments
ISEH has a responsibility to the general public and to individuals regarding occupational health. It, therefore, reserves the right to deny admission to applicants who are unable to supply a satisfactory occupational health assessment.
Where ISEH feels an applicant is deemed unacceptable as a result of an occupational health assessment, ISEH reserves the right to deny admission to that applicant.
All information provided by an applicant relating to his/ her occupational health assessment remains confidential between the applicant and the designated occupational health assessor of ISEH.
Feedback, Complaints and Appeals
ISEH is committed to providing applicants with appropriate feedback within resource constraints upon request.
Requests by ISEH for feedback must be submitted by the requested applicant.
Requests for feedback from third parties on behalf of an applicant are not permitted.
Applicants do not have the right to appeal against the academic or professional judgements made by the ISEH in respect of their application.
Applicants have the right to lauch a written complaint to the ISEH administration against any staff/ instructional member of the ISEH on his/ her conduct unbecoming of good professional norms.
